Finally I'm able to online after trying for such a long time. I'm now taking a break after spending the whole day studying. I mean, the WHOLE DAY. My first year final examinations will be starting on next Friday and I'm sure my batchmates (not all I supposed) are now trying very hard to squeeze everything into the brain before the exam.
Today is the fourth day I study in my room. Normally I prefer to study in study area - I have Calvin with me and I will not feel sleepy there. However I abstain from going there now because AIMST has got its very first H1N1 case and a few suspected cases. I'm worried compared to others. But I still see people enjoying themselves in overseas. I wonder why I am so worried. Is it because I know more about this virus? Or maybe it's too near now since AIMST got case already. I really hope this condition will improve soon but it seems quite impossible because I was told that WHO says Malaysia is one of the fastest emerging countries with viral infection. Sigh.
I need to get back to my notes now. It is never ending in Medicine..

I’m so happy that my best friend Sook Yee called me last night.. We have not been keeping in touch for quite some time.. Yesterday was my first time receiving international call!! And it was from my best friend!! I’m so touched.. really really happy.. (although she wished me a happy BELATED birthday.. it doesn’t matter at all.. late is always better than never right.. btw last year she also wished me 2 days after my birthday.. haha) She actually sent me an email 3 months back and I just checked it a couple of minutes ago (I hardly check mail :-S) I really miss her so much.. SO MUCH things to share with her……. Looking forward to see her in August after my finals…

Yesterday was my 20th birthday.. This birthday is a special one because Calvin celebrated with me.. Simple but nice..
Many of my friends wished me.. I did not expect some of them to actually remember my birthday.. Feel so nice that they remembered.. A simple message can just put a smile on my face..

I have something to complain about my cafeteria in campus..
They are getting more and more students... Two batches of foundation students just joined in.. One more batch is yet to come next month..
They are earning so much.. laughing all the way to the bank.. but they are not serving us quality food.. We queued for about 15 minutes to get a plate of chicken rice which has more bones than chicken.. and the chicken is not well-cooked.. still can see blood and the meat is red in colour..
A few of my batch mates are actually doing a case control study on this.. My Community Medicine lecturer asked them to study the association between eating chicken rice from café and getting diarrhoea so that more safety measures can be taken.. How my lecturers get the news that many people suffer from diarrhoea after eating chicken rice?? They were wondering why the attendance is so bad today and they went around asking if there is any special event that is taking place which cause most of the student to be absent from class.. Then, they came to know about this epidemic! (Haha.. but I believe most of the absentees today skipped class not because of diarrhoea..) The victims are suffering from diarrhoea but at the same time my friends get a chance to actually learn to conduct a case control study..
Hopefully no more such cases in the future…

I just do not understand why people like to give proxy for the others. Is it because they do not know how to reject their friend? Or they are afraid their friend will boycott them? Or maybe they are having some ‘contract’ (I sign for you this time and you sign for me the next time).
It’s all about discipline. No matter how boring a class is, you chose to take this course and therefore you have to adhere to the schedule and attend all classes. We will definitely learn something from a lecturer provided we are attentive in class.
I’m not trying to pinpoint anyone, just feel like saying out what I have been thinking.

Swee Hong is my name. If you were to call me that, please pronounce it correctly. Otherwise, just call me Joycelyn will do ;) I'm just a normal person like anyone of you. At the age of 19, I'm in the process of entering adulthood and I'm experiencing new things with an open heart. I'm getting more freedom now and I really cherish what I have. I love dreaming. Everything is so perfect in dreams. Shopping is a must and travelling is my life! I will definitely go for a world tour with my special one one day in the future. Chocolate is my favourite but it seems like I can't have too much of that:-( Fruits are essential for good skin ;-) I love cooking! Becoming housewife is sometime my dream too but this is contradict to what I'm going to study for degree. I would love to achieve great things in my life but life is too short for everything. I'm fickle minded sometimes but I'm trying to change. I believe in miracles. I'm unpredictable;P And I'm looking forward to my future!
